Civic engagement is a key priority of Riverside Pride, whether it be through our Adopt-A-Street program or advocating against legislation that would harm members of the LGBTQ+ community. We work year-round to ensure that those in power are doing all they can to fight for LGBTQ+ equality and freedom.

Pride Advocacy Network

Join our core group of volunteers that we call on to support LGBTQ+ equity advocacy efforts. Members of the advocacy network will be the first volunteers we call on to contact their elected or appointed policy makers, help get out the vote in Riverside County, mobilize rallies when the need calls for it, participate in workshops and much more!

Our Pride Advocacy Network works to advance social justice efforts locally and nationally. To join the Pride Advocacy Network fill out the form below.

Local Advocacy

Riverside Pride works to ensure that City, County and Statewide policymakers are promoting and supporting LGBTQ+ equality. We are lucky to have LGBTQ+ representation at all levels of government currently but that is only guaranteed when we turn out to vote and make our voices heard.

Unsure who your representatives are? Find out who represents you below.

We dedicate ourselves to ensuring you are aware of the issues affecting queer and trans folks and offer a way to mobilize against discriminatory policies targeting not just LGBTQ+ people but folks at the intersection of marginalized identities.

Riverside Pride is proud to have signed on to a letter of support for AB 1955, the SAFETY ACT. To learn more about this bill, click here.

Vote with Pride

Mark your calendars for California’s General Election on November 5, 2024. Representation matters and our elected officials should represent our values of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Educate yourself on the candidates at all levels of government and ensure you are ready to cast your vote!
