This form is for Riverside Pride event organizers to submit a volunteer post request to the volunteer coordination team. It should only be used by authorized event organizers. When processed, the volunteer team will post a sign-up sheet on the volunteer opportunities page so that volunteers can sign up to help at your event.

When should I submit my request?

Your request should be submitted at least 30 days before your event, or at least 10 days before you want volunteers to begin signing up, whichever is longer. Typically volunteers begin looking for opportunities to sign up for within 30 days of the event.

How will I know when a volunteer signs up?

You'll receive a copy of the email the volunteer receives confirming they have signed up. Also, you can request a list of your volunteers from the volunteer coordinator team at any time.

When will my event be posted?

We try to process requests within a few days of receiving them, but be sure to submit them at least 10 days in advance to make sure it is posted on time.

Can I email volunteers who have signed up?

Yes – to send individual emails, you can email them from the information you received when they signed up or request a list of volunteers from the team.
If you'd like to mass email your entire team of volunteers, we recommend asking the volunteer coordinator team do it, because we can use a tool to make sure they are not sent to spam. (Emails from Gmail with CC and BCC addresses usually are marked as spam)

How will volunteers know when my event needs volunteers?

We periodically send an email to volunteers letting them know of new opportunities.
Volunteers also know how to find opportunities on our website. Visit “Get Involved -> Volunteers ->Upcoming Opportunities.

What else do I need to do as an event organizer?

For your event, we need to keep records of volunteers attendance.
You can download and print out your volunteer sign-in sheet here. All volunteers attending your event must sign in upon arrival. They earn hours for incentives and awards.
At the end of your event, you should submit the names and # of hours each helped to the Volunteer Director, who will add them to our records.
