Event management takes an army…

Well several armies and we call them committees. Here're our festival committees:

Art & Culture

The main purpose of the ART & CULTURE Committee is to infuse our event with … well ART & CULTURE.  The committee will be primarily responsible for curating artists to create installations throughout the festival space, and coordination and execution of our internally designed installations.

Festival Operations (FestOps)

The purpose of the Festival Operations committee is to plan and oversee the logistics of the Pride Festival on September 4th, 2022. This includes, but is not limited to, planning logistics and traffic details, sourcing and procuring equipment and supplies, and coordinating the setup and strike of the event on the day of.

Rainbow Pride (Representation)

The primary goal of the Rainbow Pride Committee is to make sure that nobody is left out of our PRIDE event. Every person, be they Transgender, with disability, BIPOC, or any other attribute or challenge, should be made to feel welcome and loved and above all – seen – at Riverside’s Inland Empire Pride festival. This means coordinating ASL interpreters, ensuring that aspects of the event center around each community, and ensuring that the other committees operate with inclusiveness and mindfulness.

Fundraising & Sponsorship

The main purpose of the Sponsorship Committee is to seek funding for our event. This is done though a series of initiatives, including creating an “inventory of assets”, curating a list of potential sponsors, and reaching out to those potential sponsors to convince them sponsoring PRIDE is good business. This committee is great for those with sales backgrounds.

The Entertainment Committee curates the entertainment at the festival by seeking performers and acts that align with the organization's values. This includes booking talent as well as staffing the entertainment related venues in the festival.

Unsurprisingly, the Parade Committee is in charge of the parade. This involves intense logistics planning, curating the parade units, organizing them on the day of the parade and making sure everything happens smoothly during the parade.

Curating the vendors, including food, artisan, crafters, retail and more vendors, this committee is in charge of recruiting, processing applications and making sure vendors have everything they need at the event.

Merch & Sales

Before the festival, this committee plans and researches the potential official PRIDE merchandise sold at the event. They also setup, operate and strike the merchandise and beverage booths.

In charge of marketing, PR and general advertising of the event. This includes everything related to social media, billboard and display advertising, interacting and working with press partners and more.

Non-festival Event Committees

We also have a few non-festival related committees that are organizing big events leading up to the festival.

Gayla Fundraiser

We will be having a black-tie Gayla Fundraiser event and we'll need help planning and setting up for this event.

Walk For Love

Riverside Pride's Glow Walk for Love is a night time charity walk event that raises money for PRIDE. Participants will raise pledges and the event is a fun-filled sparkly spectacular with food, vendors and a squad of drag-queen cheerleaders!
