Youth United gathers LGBTQ youth from across the Inland Empire for an annual convening of leadership\, fellowship and activism. Addressing the mental and sexual health topics that most affect LGBTQ youth\, this conference provides a safe and healing space for LGBTQ youth in the region. \n\n\n\nTo attend the event as a student\, vendor\, presenter\, chaperone\, volunteer\, or sponsor\, scan the QR in the image above. This year’s theme is Blossoming to show the beauty within the trans* community and celebrate the joy the community feels The buds that are blossoming through outreach\, resources\, education\, and events such as OC Trans Pride. \n\n\n\nSeptember 24th\, 12-6PM\, Mess Hall (Tustin) \n\n\n\nResource booths\, workshops/panels\, and rock painting! \n\n\n\nSeptember 25th\, 12-5PM Frida Cinema (Santa Ana) \n\n\n\nLive performances\, glam closet\, and binder closet! \n\n\n\nOur theme this year is centered around BLOSSOMING as individuals and community: \n\n\n\nWhile our years are faced with hardships\, in which we learn resilience and gallantry\, there calls a time for moments of rest and reflection. The transgender community is often expected to create their own spaces for free. It is within these spaces\, much like any community\, we find our moments of peace\, Trans Pride provides rest. \n\n\n\nIt provides connections. \n\n\n\nIt provides community and reminds us that we are not alone in our journey. \n\n\n\nThe transgender journey is one of reinvention. And in each version of ourselves that we share\, we are often met with resistance; small moments of true acceptance and understanding feel rare but invaluable. \n\n\n\nIn these small moments of acceptance\, we reenergize and grow. \n\n\n\nWe want to spend our time of rest this year in a wash of acceptance. \n\n\n\nWe will reflect on our growth together and celebrate each other. \n\n\n\nAnd we will bloom. The route will be very close to 1 mile per lap. The details are being finalized.   How many laps do I have to do? How many laps you pledge to walk is entirely up to you. When asking for donations\, fundraisers will be more successful if they “pledge” to walk a certain number of miles.   How long will we have to complete our pledged laps? You will have approximately 2 hours to walk your pledged laps.   Is the route ADA accessible? Yes! The route will be along the paved ADA accessible walkways of the UCR campus. The route is still being finalized\, but we'll make sure it's fully accessible.   What is the age requirement? This is an all-ages event! Bring the whole family. Kids 10 or older will need a ticket.   What if I just want to spectate and not participate in the walk? All are welcome to spectate – tickets are not required\, but an optional $10 ticket for a small donation above is appreciated\, and you'll even get some swag!   Can I ride a bike\, scooter\, roller skates\, skateboard? For the safety of everyone\, no wheeled vehicles will be allowed except wheelchairs and medically necessary mobility devices. Strollers are allowed too.   Can I bring my dog? Sorry\, no animals except those who are trained and registered service dogs.   Do I need to be vaccinated? Wear a mask? Participants are not required to wear a mask during the event. However\, we require everyone to be respectful of those who wish to do so. We do require you to be at least double dose vaccinated to participate. All ticket sales are donations. By purchasing tickets\, you agree to comply with our code of conduct\, including our COVID-19 protocols. DESCRIPTION:This event is only open to students in High School or Junior High/Middle School\, parents/guardians\, and educator staff. The only college students in attendance are UCR student volunteers. \n\n\n\nQueer Alliance invites area high school students and junior high/middle school students to the 18th Annual Pride Prom. This QA Youth Outreach Event provides a safe space for a fabulous evening of music\, dancing\, food\, and fun. Dress for comfort\, or dress to impress. A photo booth is on-site and refreshments provided. \n\n\n\nParents\, teachers\, and allies also welcome. Please arrive by 7pm for the required presentation and panel before the dance begins.
