DESCRIPTION:This is an event hosted by a partner\, not Riverside LGBTQ+ Pride. \n\n\n\nOC Trans Pride is a FREE 2-day event planned by the LGBTQ Center OC’s \n\n\n\nTrans* Committee. This year’s theme is Blossoming to show the beauty within the trans* community and celebrate the joy the community feels The buds that are blossoming through outreach\, resources\, education\, and events such as OC Trans Pride. \n\n\n\nSeptember 24th\, 12-6PM\, Mess Hall (Tustin) \n\n\n\nResource booths\, workshops/panels\, and rock painting! \n\n\n\nSeptember 25th\, 12-5PM Frida Cinema (Santa Ana) \n\n\n\nLive performances\, glam closet\, and binder closet! \n\n\n\nOur theme this year is centered around BLOSSOMING as individuals and community: \n\n\n\nWhile our years are faced with hardships\, in which we learn resilience and gallantry\, there calls a time for moments of rest and reflection. The transgender community is often expected to create their own spaces for free. It is within these spaces\, much like any community\, we find our moments of peace\, Trans Pride provides rest. \n\n\n\nIt provides connections. \n\n\n\nIt provides community and reminds us that we are not alone in our journey. \n\n\n\nThe transgender journey is one of reinvention. And in each version of ourselves that we share\, we are often met with resistance; small moments of true acceptance and understanding feel rare but invaluable. \n\n\n\nIn these small moments of acceptance\, we reenergize and grow. \n\n\n\nWe want to spend our time of rest this year in a wash of acceptance. \n\n\n\nWe will reflect on our growth together and celebrate each other. \n\n\n\nAnd we will bloom. Together. \n\n\n\nJoin us for live entertainment\, resources\, law games\, food for purchase at the Mess Hall food court\, workshops\, and so much more! \n\n\n\n**COVID-19 response: To keep the safety of our staff\, volunteers\, and community members\, we will be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken 48 hours prior event upon entry. \n\n\n\nCALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!\n\n\n\nOC Trans Pride 2022 “Blossoming” is accepting volunteers for our event!
